Compass Pathways is launching an innovative mental health therapy and seeks a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption at certified treatment centers across a defined US territory including Buffalo, with up to 70% travel.

The role combines clinical education, account management, and patient access, requiring collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to execute regional strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharma/biotech sales, preferably in specialty or complex therapy.
• Experience in Psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets preferred.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement and payer processes.
• Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to explain complex science clearly.
• Proven track record building trust-based relationships with healthcare providers.
• Experience with site certification or coordinated care delivery models is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and guide providers on referral pathways.
• Collaborate with treatment sites to support onboarding, readiness, and optimization of delivery workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, including scheduling and patient flow.
• Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Ops.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and addressing access challenges.
• Gather and communicate field insights to inform brand strategy and launch execution.
• Manage territory business planning, including account prioritization and call planning.
