Job summary

Flytrex Inc. seeks a Site Infrastructure & Launch Manager to own each new DFW site from approval to stable operations, overseeing power, permitting, and partner readiness. You will lead the critical path, manage electricians, and ensure go/no-go criteria are met before first drone flight.

You will select feasible sites, coordinate with utilities and inspectors, and drive budgets while delivering repeatable launch playbooks for rapid growth in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, launch, deployment, infrastructure rollout, or logistics, with a track record of owning complex launches that required multi-team alignment and a fixed date.
• 3+ years of hands-on electrical or power infrastructure field experience: commercial or industrial electrical, EV charging installation, solar and storage, telecom or tower power, generator or BESS.
• Working knowledge of the NEC; ability to build load calculations, read one-line diagrams, size services and generators, and know when work needs a licensed electrician.
• Experience with utilities on new service and city inspectors on permits, inspections, and corrections.
• Experience writing scopes, getting bids, and managing electricians, contractors, and vendors to drawings, budgets, and dates.
• Strong field judgment: ability to differentiate ready-from-not and switch between executive updates and site-details without losing either.
• Comfort with low-voltage and basic networking (cellular, Wi‑Fi, Ethernet) and GPS or RTK hardware.
• Clear written communication; document what you build and learn.

Responsibilities

• Launch Ownership: Own new sites from approval through launch and stable operations to hit go-live dates.
• Build and run critical path plans covering site readiness, power, permits, operations, staffing, and partners; address risks with solutions.
• Act as on-ground launch captain to clear blockers and present decision-ready options to leadership.
• Enforce go/no-go criteria across infrastructure, safety, and flight readiness; run acceptance checkouts before first flight.
• Lead post-launch reviews to update playbooks for faster, lower-cost future rollouts.
• Site Selection & Feasibility: Assess candidate sites for power, access, line of sight, and permitting; provide deployment go/no-go decisions.
• Electrical & Power Infrastructure: Build load calculations, specify service sizes, panels, circuits, and conductor runs; oversee generator sizing and energization.
• Permits, Municipalities & Regulatory Support: Secure permits and track approvals against launch timelines.
• Vendors, Contractors & Budget: Manage contractors, equipment deliveries, site logistics, and budgets.
