Job summary

Flytrex Inc. seeks a Site Infrastructure & Launch Manager for the DFW area to own each new drone-site from approval through first delivery and into stable operations. You will manage power infrastructure, permits, flight readiness, and partner coordination on the ground.

The role requires deep hands-on electrical experience, strong vendor management, and the ability to drive decision-making while coordinating multi-team efforts across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, launch, deployment or logistics with a track record of owning complex launches and fixed dates.
• 3+ years hands-on electrical or power infrastructure field experience: commercial/industrial electrical, EV charging, solar/storage, telecom/tower power, generator or BESS.
• Working knowledge of the NEC; ability to build load calculations, read one-line diagrams and panel schedules, size services/generators.
• Experience with utilities on new service and with city inspectors on permits, inspections and corrections.
• Experience writing scopes, obtaining bids, and managing electricians, contractors and vendors to drawings, budgets, and dates.
• Strong field judgment to translate plans into ready sites and communicate across leadership and field teams.
• Comfort with low-voltage networking (cellular, Wi-Fi, Ethernet) and GPS/RTK hardware.
• Clear written communication to document build outcomes and learnings.

Responsibilities

• Launch ownership from approval through first delivery and stable operations.
• Build and run critical path plans for site readiness, power, permits, operations, staffing and partners; address risks with solutions.
• Act as on-ground launch captain to clear blockers and present decision-ready options to leadership.
• Enforce go/no-go criteria across infrastructure, safety, and flight readiness; run acceptance checkouts before first flight.
• Lead post-launch reviews to update playbooks for faster, lower-cost future rollouts.
• Assess candidate sites for power, access, permitting before signing leases or commitments.
• Build load calculations, specify service sizes, panels, circuits, and conductor runs; oversee generator sizing and runtimes.
• Secure permits, coordinate utilities, and manage municipal approvals in Texas.
• Manage contractors, equipment deliveries, site logistics, and launch budgets.
• Handoff to operations with fully tested, energized, documented sites.
