Job summary

Flytrex is scaling backyard drone delivery across DFW and into new metros. The Site Infrastructure & Launch Manager owns each new site from approval through first delivery and into stable operations.

You build the critical path across site readiness, electrical and power infrastructure, permitting, flight operations, maintenance, and partner readiness, and you are the launch captain on the ground who finds blockers and drives the decision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, launch, deployment, infrastructure rollout, or logistics with a fixed launch date.
• 3+ years hands-on electrical or power infrastructure field experience: commercial/industrial electrical, EV charging, solar/storage, telecom, generator, or BESS.
• Working knowledge of NEC; able to read diagrams, size service/generator, and determine when licensed electricians are required.
• Experience coordinating utilities, city permits, inspections, and corrections in Texas.
• Ability to write scopes, manage bids, and lead electricians, contractors, and vendors to drawings, budget, and dates.
• Strong field judgment and ability to switch between executive updates and site-level detail.

Responsibilities

• Launch ownership: drive new site approval through first delivery and stabilization.
• Build critical-path plans for site readiness, power, permits, operations, staffing, and partners.
• Act as on-ground launch captain to clear blockers and present options to leadership.
• Enforce go/no-go criteria for infrastructure, safety, and flight readiness; run acceptance checkouts.
• Lead post-launch reviews and update playbooks for faster future rollouts.
• Site selection and feasibility: assess power, access, permitting, and leases; negotiate with landlords/HOAs.
• Electrical & power: specify service sizes, panels, circuits; oversee utility and generator sizing and energization.
• Coordinate permits, meter sets, and energization with local providers; schedule inspections and corrections.
• Scope work, bid, and manage licensed electricians through installation and handover.
• Install and commission hubs, chargers, and networking gear; ensure proper load calculations and documentation.
• Deliver as-builts, one-lines, load calculations, and panel schedules to operations.
