Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks a Grind Machinist II for onsite work in Buffalo, NY, on 2nd/3rd shifts. You will read blueprints, set up and grind high-precision parts, and maintain tight tolerances for mission-critical components used in aerospace programs.

You will use micrometers, calipers, and dial bore gauges, perform wheel dressing, and inspect parts with air gauges and other instruments. FAA program compliance applies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and use English instructions.
• 3+ years as a precision machinist, preferably Grind Machinist.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and reading blueprints.
• Ability to select grinding wheels and hold tight tolerances per drawings.
• Compliance with FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints and operation sheets or verbal instructions.
• Grind complex parts on cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders with close tolerances.
• Set up parts, align irregular shapes, select wheels, and control speeds/feeds.
• Dress wheels for various forms and inspect finished parts with gauges.
• Participate in cell planning and problem solving within the cell.
