Job summary

Moog is seeking a Grind Machinist II for the Buffalo, NY site on 2nd/3rd shift. You will set up and operate grinders, read blueprints, and machine high-precision parts used in mission-critical aerospace programs.

You will inspect parts with precision gauges, dress wheels, and ensure tolerances are met while supporting cell planning and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers competitive pay and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years as a precision machinist, Grind Machinist preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and written work instructions.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and dial bore gauges.
• Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances (.001 ± .0005).

Responsibilities

• Grind a wide variety of complex parts per drawings.
• Perform set-ups, chucking, alignment, and wheel dressing.
• Inspect work with air gauges, diatest, profilometers and gauges.
• Support cell planning and solve process issues.
