Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Grind Machinist II for the 2nd shift to manufacture high-precision components used in mission-critical aerospace programs.

You will work from blueprints and operation sheets, perform machine set-ups, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances in a safety-focused environment. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Ability to select grinding wheels, dress wheels, and run parts per drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances (.001 +/- .0005) per GD&T.
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program participation is required for Safety Sensitive Work.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, or verbal instructions.
• Grind a wide variety of complex parts with tight tolerances on multiple grinders.
• Perform setups including chucking and aligning irregular parts.
• Dress wheels for various forms and finishings.
• Inspect work using air gauges, diastys, V-blocks, profilometers, angle plates, and electronic gauging.
• Participate in planning and problem-solving within the cell.
