Job summary

RXO Inc. is hiring a Last Mile Operations Manager to oversee contract carrier operations, route planning, and team development across locations in North America. You will manage carrier schedules, monitor routes, and foster collaboration with carriers and helpers.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, ensuring policy compliance, and optimizing delivery networks to meet customer expectations. A strong logistics background and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of contract carriers and maintain schedules.
• Develop and mentor staff to reach goals; train staff on policies and procedures.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs.
• Supervise employees in accordance with policies and laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes.
• Manage the dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day.
• Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve efficiencies.
• Train and develop contract carriers and dispatchers to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within timeframes.
• Ensure photos are taken for every job.
• Allocate and request additional resources as needed.
