Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Assistant Manager - Last Mile to oversee daily last-mile delivery operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The role manages vendors, retailers, and independent contractors while coordinating truck dispatch and resolving delivery issues.

The position supervises customer service, routing, and on-site staff, providing leadership and training to maintain productivity and service excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and related field experience.
• 5+ years in logistics/supply chain or related field.
• Supervisory experience with performance reviews.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily last-mile delivery operations and customer service.
• Manage relationships with vendors, stores, and independent contractors.
• Coordinate truck dispatch and monitor delivery performance.
• Supervise customer service, routing, and on-site staff.
• Train staff and direct work activities, addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain monthly operating reports and service scores.
