Job summary

nLIGHT, Inc. in Camas, WA, is seeking a Service RMA Technician I to repair, test, and calibrate laser systems. The role involves moving equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and supporting customers on site.

Travel to customer sites up to 80% may be required. Strong collaboration with engineering and manufacturing is essential. Applicants should have 1+ year in high-volume electronics or opto‑mechanical repair, read schematics, and operate oscilloscope/DVM.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in high volume production environments servicing electronics or opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • AA degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Experience servicing electronics, semiconductor equipment or optomechanical assemblies.
  • Able to read basic electrical schematics.
  • Proficient with Excel and Word.
  • Able to wear Safety Laser Goggles and handle optical components safely.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair laser systems and related components.
  • Document all repair activities in detail.
  • Write failure analysis reports for identified issues.
  • Analyze repair data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to Technical Support, Customer Service, and Engineering.
  • Manage returns in and out of the repair center and track turnaround times.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
