Job summary

nLIGHT in Camas, Washington is seeking a Facilities Technician to keep laser manufacturing environments running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, assemble piping and duct work, and respond to on-site emergencies in clean rooms and high‑power laser areas.

The role operates Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with on‑call duties for system failures or water leaks.

Qualifications

• Formal technical apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
• Continuing education or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with facility systems such as HVAC, water, gas, electrical, and life safety.
• Able to move and lift up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility equipment and production systems.
• Manage department work orders and requests efficiently.
• Assemble piping and duct work; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with team for on-call duties.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with contractors.
