Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. is seeking a Laser Field Service Technician to repair and maintain Tsugami Laser machine tool equipment and related components. The role requires independent work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

You will install, troubleshoot, and service laser systems at customer sites, requiring strong diagnostic skills, documentation, and effective communication with customers and team members. Travel up to 100% is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant technical experience with CNC controls (1–3 years preferred).
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with laser systems or precision rotating machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build service and install laser machine systems per build instructions and wiring diagrams.
• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Tsugami machines and Laser Systems.
• Identify areas for performance improvement and promote preventative maintenance.
• Detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components.
• Communicate issues and status to customers and document service activities.
