Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a leader to manage Linguistic Services across Swedish Health Services, including Edmonds. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or International/Area Studies or related field preferred.
• 7 years of management experience in patient care or social services
• 5 years of administrative or operational leadership experience
• 3 years recent experience in a leadership role
• Experience working in interpreter/translation service delivery
• Experience managing/coaching diverse staff
• Experience in managing a diverse workforce and in creating a departmental environment that respects diversity
• Experience in providing leadership in ongoing evaluation and implementation of new technologies to support optimal, efficient service
• Experience in planning, implementing and managing change processes within an organization
• Demonstrated experience working well under pressure to manage stressful situations
• Demonstrated experience working with linguistically and culturally diverse patient, staff and community groups, including those with sensory loss

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Linguistic Services across Swedish Health Services system, including Swedish Edmonds.
• Plan, implement and evaluate interpreter and translation services for LEP and sensory-impaired patients, families and staff.
• Oversee staff and contracted providers, including with state agencies, to ensure access and regulatory compliance.
• Foster partnerships to ensure access to interpretation in multiple modalities (in-person, phone, video).
• Lead system-wide initiatives to promote cultural competence and language access goals.
• Collaborate with organizational and community resources to address patient communication barriers.
