Job summary

Swedish Shared Services seeks a senior leader to oversee Linguistic Services across the Swedish Health Services system, including Edmonds. You will plan, implement and evaluate interpreter and translation services for LEP and sensory-impaired patients, families, and staff to ensure language access and culturally competent care.

The role provides operational oversight of staff and contracted providers, partners with departments to improve access across modalities, and advances cultural competence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
• 7 years of management experience in patient care or social services
• 5 years of administrative or operational leadership experience
• 3 years leadership experience
• Experience working in interpreter/translation service delivery
• Experience managing/coaching diverse staff
• Experience creating diverse, culturally competent departmental environments
• Experience leading evaluation and adoption of new technologies to support service delivery
• Experience planning and managing organizational change
• Ability to perform under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead Linguistic Services across Swedish Health Services and Swedish Edmonds.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate interpreter and translation services for LEP and sensory-impaired patients, families and staff.
• Provide operational oversight for staff and contracted providers and agencies.
• Foster partnerships to ensure access to interpretation across modalities (in-person, phone, video).
• Drive system-wide cultural competence initiatives and address language access barriers.
• Identify patient communication issues and collaborate with resources to resolve them.
• Research and administer grants to support language access goals and regulatory compliance
