Job summary

Swedish Shared Services in Washington state seeks a senior leader to oversee Linguistic Services across Swedish Health Services, including Swedish Edmonds. You will plan, implement and evaluate interpreter and translation services for LEP and sensory-impaired patients, families and staff to ensure accessible, culturally competent care.

The role requires strategic oversight of staff and contracted providers, collaboration with state agencies, and driving system-wide language access initiatives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field preferred.
• 7 years of management experience in patient care or social services.
• 5 years of administrative or operational leadership experience.
• 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in interpreter/translation service delivery.
• Experience managing diverse staff and fostering inclusive environments.
• Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve service delivery.
• Proven ability to lead change initiatives under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Linguistic Services across Swedish Health Services and Edmonds.
• Plan, implement and evaluate interpreter and translation services for LEP and sensory-impaired patients, families and staff.
• Provide operational oversight for staff and contracted providers and collaborations with state agencies.
• Foster partnerships to ensure access to interpretation services across modalities (in-person, phone, video).
• Lead system-wide efforts to enhance cultural competence and address language access goals.
