Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Grand Junction, CO, is seeking a Lead Landing Gear Technician for the 2nd shift. You will lead a team of technicians, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate daily workload to meet production goals and customer commitments.

The role requires 5+ years in landing gear maintenance, strong FAA paperwork knowledge, and ability to read SRMs/CMMs. A&P license is helpful but not required; excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of landing gear maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of FAA paperwork and work orders.
Ability to read structural repair manuals and engineering blueprints.
Experience with SRMs and CMMs is preferred.
Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily activities of technicians to ensure safe, efficient completion.
Assign and prioritize daily workload to meet production goals and customer commitments.
Exercise sound judgment in day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed.
Supervise technicians and provide technical guidance and support.
Conduct in-process inspections and review work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with procedures.
Prepare completed work and documentation for RTS by Team Lead.
Oversee work order flow and documentation for timely completion.
Train, mentor, and develop technicians to improve skills and growth.
Communicate project status and shift turnover with Team Lead and other departments.
Communicate effectively in English.
Perform other duties as assigned.
