Job summary

West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Landing Gear Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and test aircraft landing gear across multiple models. You will work both independently and in teams, maintain accurate repair records, and follow FAA and manufacturer procedures in a fast-paced shop environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant mechanical experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in aviation or maintenance preferred.
• A&P license helpful but not required.
• Previous mechanical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhauls and/or repairs on landing gear systems.
• Troubleshoot and inspect landing gear components.
• Learn and apply new overhaul/repair procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs per FAA and manufacturer.
