Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. The role involves transferring, spreading, loading and compacting waste or soil, while adhering to all safety standards.

The position requires inspecting equipment before and after use, maintaining and cleaning machinery, and completing required reports. Candidates should demonstrate reliable time management and a professional, customer-service

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader using proper safety standards.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable material.
• Maintain equipment to minimize downtime and perform minor servicing.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report needed repairs to supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and keep shop clean after each shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
