Job summary

Republic Services is hiring an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Comfortable working at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe and clean.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader following safety standards.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and report repairs as needed.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other required documentation.
• Keep the shop area clean and ensure equipment is serviced and stored properly.
