Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies is seeking a Machine Operator to support its metal building insulation laminating line in North Carolina. You will safely set up and run laminators and band saws, interpret work instructions, and supervise helpers during setup to ensure efficient production and quality control.

You will maintain accurate production records, manage material flow, and help with inventory tracking, transport, and packaging while following safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling operations preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Experience with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminators and band saws safely according to standards.
• Set up machines with glue tab alignment, compression settings, glue/tape application, and speed adjustments.
• Maintain production records, waste tracking, and downtime reporting.
• Support material handling and production flow, including loading/unloading trucks.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of raw and finished goods.
• Perform daily safety inspections and routine maintenance.
• Record movements in ERP and inventory systems and assist with changeovers.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols.
