Job summary

Bay Converting Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to drive efficient laminating operations. The role involves safe setup and operation of laminators and band saws, following work instructions, and directing helpers during setup.

You will track production, waste, and inventory to maintain quality and cost control. Responsibilities include machine setup, safety checks, preventative maintenance, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Experience with fiberglass insulation or related materials preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminators and band saws following safety/quality standards.
• Set up machines, adjust run speed and alignment for proper output.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly safety inspections and inspections.
• Maintain accurate production records, waste tracking and downtime reporting.
• Support material handling, loading/unloading, and staging of materials.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of raw and finished goods.
• Process outgoing shipments per customer/carrier requirements.
• Maintain inventory counts and update ERP/inventory systems.
