Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies is hiring a Machine Operator for the metal building insulation laminating operation in Memphis, TN. You will safely set up and operate laminators and band saws, interpret production instructions, and guide General Laborers during setup.

You’ll track material, waste, and productivity to support efficient manufacturing and cost control. Daily responsibilities include safety inspections, machine adjustments, quality checks, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Experience with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminators and band saws following safety and quality standards.
• Perform daily safety inspections and complete checklists.
• Set up machines with correct glue tab alignment and run speeds.
• Maintain production records of quantities, waste, and downtime.
• Assist with material handling, staging, and inventory control.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments per requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and handling of raw and finished goods.
• Support safe changeovers and maintain ERP inventory accuracy.
