Job summary

Bay Converting Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to support laminating operations in a metal building insulation facility. The role involves safe setup and operation of laminators and band saws, following work instructions, and ensuring quality and documentation accuracy.

You will lead material flow, perform inspections, maintain records, and assist with shipments while upholding safety and efficiency standards in a production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling operations preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Experience with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate laminators and band saws safely according to standards.
• Set up machines with correct alignment, glue/tape application, and speed settings.
• Perform daily safety inspections and maintain safety checklists.
• Maintain production records for quantities, waste, downtime, and material movements.
• Handle material flow, staging, and storage of raw and finished goods.
• Support loading and unloading of trucks and assist with order fulfillment.
