Job summary

Orlando Health's Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is seeking an experienced Manager of Laboratory Quality to lead quality initiatives, ensure CLIA, CAP and Joint Commission readiness, and drive performance improvement across the laboratory program.

You will mentor staff, analyze quality data, and collaborate with clinical teams to improve patient safety and outcomes in a fast-paced, high-complexity healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in quality assurance in a certified clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or a qualified area.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License.
• National MLS certification (ASCP/ASMT/AABB/AACC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the laboratory quality management program.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality metrics and performance improvement.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, accreditation activities, and corrective actions.
• Mentor and develop laboratory staff through education and quality leadership.
