The position emphasizes bench testing responsibilities, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the laboratory manager to meet service levels and regulatory standards. A Bachelor’s degree and hospital lab experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Three (3) years hospital laboratory experience.
• Current Florida license(s) if required for area of responsibility.
• ASCP or eligible certification if required for area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates workflow and coordinates with sections to ensure service delivery.
• Communicates daily operations with the manager.
• Assumes bench responsibilities as needed and performs testing ~60% of the time.
• Maintains quality control and documentation per policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
