Job summary

MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a Clinical Laboratory Manager to lead Point of Care and OR laboratory operations, ensuring quality testing, regulatory compliance and efficient performance. You will partner with physicians, perioperative teams, IT, and nursing leadership to support patient outcomes and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related science or NAACLS accredited program.
• Master's or Doctorate degrees are preferred to advance leadership.
• ASCP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Experience leading clinical laboratory operations and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality indicators, turnaround times, and performance.
• Lead quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Direct recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
• Oversee budgeting, vendor contracts, and resource management.
• Drive cross-training and ensure staffing coverage for continuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, perioperative services, and IT to optimize patient care.
