Job summary

Liberty Regional Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Laboratory department and ensure quality and compliance with accreditation standards.

You will analyze specimens, obtain data for diagnosis, and provide safe, efficient services for patients from infants to geriatric. The role requires leadership of up to 30 personnel and collaboration with medical staff while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education level equivalent to four (4) years of college with concentration in medical technology or related field preferred.
• Current Medical Technology Certificate licensed by AMT, ASCP, HHS, NCA, or ISCLT.
• Formal Training: Clinical competence in Medical Technology preferred.
• Licensure, Certifications & Registration: current license to practice medical technology in the state of Georgia. BLS preferred.
• Three to five years experience in laboratory management or related field; intermediate computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Laboratory department.
• Analyze specimens and obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide safe and efficient laboratory services for all patient ages.
• Communicate with medical staff, other departments and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Supervise up to thirty (30) professional and skilled personnel.
