Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a Manager Lab to oversee all aspects of laboratory services at designated sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating patient care activities. You will lead staffing, quality initiatives, and budgeting while liaising with hospital departments to implement new procedures.

The role focuses on improving operations, mentoring staff, and driving accreditation readiness through extensive collaboration with senior leadership and regional committees.

Qualifications

• MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Five years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Improve laboratory operations and monitor quality metrics.
• Manage staffing, hiring, scheduling, and onboarding.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance.
• Coordinate with hospital departments to resolve issues.
• Lead regional lab committees and implement new procedures.
• Monitor expenses and participate in budgeting.
