Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or biological sciences; MLS certification within 3.5 years of hire.
• Associate degree with MLS certification must obtain MLS within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for assigned laboratory associates.
• Participate in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new associates; conduct performance appraisals.
• Assist with employee relations including corrective actions and progressive discipline.
• Provide leadership and professional development opportunities to staff.
• Develop work schedules, ensure adequate staffing and workloads.
• Collaborate with contractors and service providers on capital and operating purchases; monitor equipment uptime.
