Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a designated section, coordinate staff, and ensure high-quality testing and compliance with CLIA standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS or related science is required.
• MLS/MLT ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• At least 4 years of CLIA-qualified clinical laboratory experience.
• Experience with high complexity testing and lab regulations.
• Strong knowledge of LAB regulations and quality improvement.
• Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operational, technical and staff activities for the designated section.
• Schedules staff and manages performance.
• Develops and coordinates activities to achieve high quality lab processing.
• Consults with health care team members and reviews procedures.
• Manages equipment documentation, checks functionality and maintenance.
• Leads candidate selection, orientation, training and development.
• Evaluates new testing procedures and advises leadership.
• Acts as a resource and conducts regular staff meetings.
• Participates in Laboratory Quality Improvement plan.
• Ensures client and patient service and feedback.
• Monitors section financial goals and performs other duties as assigned.
