Job summary

Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Campus seeks a Laboratory Manager to join our team. This position supports our Microbiology department and STAT labs at the TMC Campus, overseeing laboratory operations including staff supervision, quality, cost efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or related field, relevant MLS/HTL/CT certifications, and several years of leadership experience in a hospital laboratory

Qualifications

• Education and licenses required for clinical laboratory leadership.
• Experience supervising large laboratory teams in hospital settings.
• Strong communication and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes to monitor and improve customer satisfaction.
• Supervise staff and laboratory operations ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, FDA, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HCFA).
• Coordinate with Medical Director and other departments on procedures and training.
• Lead performance evaluations and hiring decisions as needed.
