Job summary

Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center Campus seeks a Laboratory Manager to join our team. This position will support our Microbiology department as well as our STAT labs at the TMC Campus.

Education, Licenses, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology or related field; MLS/MT/HTL/CT/ABHI/AMT certifications; 4 years in lab operations with at least 2 years in supervision; excellent communication and leadership skills required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in medical laboratory Technology, Biological Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licenses/Certifications: MLS/MT/HTL/CT/ABHI/AMT as listed
• Experience: Four (4) years of experience in laboratory operations; six (6) years preferred, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
• Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements processes to monitor and improve customer satisfaction.
• Represents Laboratory in absence of Director and supports quality initiatives.
• Builds relationships with staff and other departments to foster trust and collaboration.
• Oversees resources, staffing, and payroll to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
• Provides performance evaluations and supports staff development and competency.
