Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology, biology or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership in a supervisory role.
Experience with high complexity testing and hospital operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee laboratory operations, staff supervision, quality, cost efficiencies and patient satisfaction.
Represent the Laboratory in the absence of the Director and perform administrative functions.
Develop and implement departmental procedures to meet regulatory compliance (TJC, FDA, CAP, CLIA, OSHA).
Ensure safe patient care and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary constraints.
Provide training, competency assessments and mentorship to staff.
