Job summary

Carrollton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee routine laboratory operations and ensure timely testing with high-quality standards. You will supervise staff, assist with hiring, training, and evaluations, and drive hiring, payroll, and budgeting activities.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to CLIA and regulatory guidelines, and the ability to implement quality assurance programs while coordinating with department leaders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in medical laboratory management.
• Certification in ASCP/AMT/HEW/ABHI as listed or equivalent.
• Experience with CLIA regulations and laboratory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine activities of the laboratory or section to ensure adequate staffing and timely testing.
• Assist with staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and payroll.
• Develop policies and procedures related to the laboratory, staffing, and scheduling.
• Communicate and escalate issues to department leaders and upper management.
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies are available.
• Implement quality assurance programs and maintain regulatory compliance records.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets.
