Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field is Required
• Master's degree of Business Administration or Health Administration is Preferred
• 5 years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in an acute care hospital setting is Required
• Certification in medical technology; ASCP/AMT/AAB or equivalent required for management of Clinical Laboratory; Histology certifications required for Anatomic Pathology management

Responsibilities

• Oversees departmental operations of the Laboratory under the direction of the Director.
• Performs administrative duties including oversight and compliance of point of care testing and affiliated offsite areas.
• Monitors operations to ensure safe, efficient and quality performance standards for employees, patients and visitors.
• Collaborates with nursing, administrative, medical and other staff to coordinate patient care activities and support the facilities mission.
