Job summary

Claiborne Medical Center, a member of Covenant Health, seeks a Manager of Laboratory to supervise and coordinate technical functions within the laboratory and ensure high-quality, cost-contained services delivered expeditiously.

The role provides oversight of daily laboratory operations, aligns with CLIA requirements, and leads staff development in collaboration with Directors and Laboratory Specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological science.
• Four years in high complexity testing with two years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• TN Medical Technologist license and General Supervisor designation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees laboratory operations and quality control.
• Directs evaluation and implementation of new tests.
• Coaches and develops staff; conducts performance appraisals.
• Ensures adherence to CLIA and state regulations.
• Coordinates with Directors and Laboratory Specialists.
• Oversees reference lab processes, specimen transport, invoicing.
• Ensures safety policies and staff communication.
