Qualifications

• High School Diploma; plus, two years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines and rush orders.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.

Responsibilities

• Following established SOPs and adhering to state, federal and accrediting body requirements, prepare and process samples, and collect information about the composition of substances to support analytical testing needs.
• Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Utilize specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation to process and analyze samples.
• Perform equipment and instrumentation set up.
• Record observations and data and provide basic interpretation of data.
• Maintain the integrity of procedures and log professional activity for peer review.
• Monitor and address sample backlog issues.
• Maintain logs, notebooks and equipment records.
• Perform laboratory administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, data review, and data entry into LIMS.
• May perform duties of a Technical Manager or Study Manager.
• Comply with Safety and Quality programs.
