Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is leading a semiconductor plant project in New Albany, OH. The role focuses on monitoring field labor practices, supporting staffing plans, wage trend analyses, and crafting training programs to ensure compliance with labor laws.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of union relations, contract negotiation basics, and strong written/verbal communication. This position emphasizes collaboration with project teams and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Labor Relations functions on field projects or in an office.
• Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws and related legislation.
• Basic knowledge of contract negotiation practices and formal and informal grievance hearings.
• Basic knowledge of jurisdictional work assignment practices.
• Basic knowledge of organizational structure and work practices of labor unions.
• Basic knowledge of Labor Relations organization policies and practices.
• Understands working with Local Unions and Building Trades Councils.
• Skills in written and verbal communication.
• Experience in researching and developing reports and collecting statistical data.
• Demonstrated skill in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily field project work practices and informs superiors of observed or anticipated labor issues.
• Supports staffing plans, wage trend studies, and development of craft training/orientation programs.
• Contributes to positive workplace relationships by facilitating communication and labor law compliance.
• Develops and presents wage bulletins or wage trend studies from labor contracts.
