Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Labor Relations professional to monitor field labor practices on a New Albany, Ohio project and advise leadership on workforce issues. You will support staffing plans, wage trend studies, and craft training/orientation programs to foster positive workplace relationships and ensure compliance with labor laws.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant LR experience, plus strong written and verbal communication,

Qualifications

• Experience in labor relations on a construction project or area/home office.
• Ability to multi-task and perform multiple LR duties simultaneously.
• Knowledge of labor contract principles and administration requirements.
• Knowledge of domestic labor and employment law including discrimination and anti-retaliation, wage/hour, job protection, compensation and benefit, discrimination and harassment.

Responsibilities

• Performs research and develops statistical information on productivity and labor trends.
• Prepares staffing forecasts.
• Ensures LR/IR/WFS activities conform to policies and procedures.
• Monitors field project labor practices and advises on issues to avoid delays.
• Interfaces with union representatives and client on process improvements.
• Produces LR/IR/WFS communications and reports.
• Supports investigations regarding misconduct per work rules.
