Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery/Postpartum unit on the Day shift. This role supports a 12-bed space with newborn and maternal care, within a major academic center offering comprehensive maternity services and a new tower facility.

Minimum ACLS/NRP certifications are required, and RN licensure in the practicing state (or compact license) is essential. Registry/Per Diem opportunities provide flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (or compact) and BLS certification.
• ACLS and NRP certifications required.
• Post-offer health screening and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care per policy and standards.
• Formulate and revise care plans with multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver direct patient care and supervise delegated tasks.
• Communicate patient status effectively to the care team.
• Document in patient records timely and accurately.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education.
• Support best-practice care and safety across shifts.
