Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a compassionate Labor & Delivery RN to care for mothers and newborns in a 14-private-room unit. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality care following nursing processes and physician orders.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, peri-procedural support, and education for patients and families. The role requires 1–2 years L&D experience, BCLS, and state RN licensure, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role in L&D in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure and BCLS certification required or preferred as noted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in line with nursing process.
• Document assessments and changes in patient condition for care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment and discharge plans.
