The position emphasizes patient education, care planning, accurate documentation, and adherence to privacy rules and hospital policies. ADN is required; BSN preferred; Kansas RN licensure and BLS/CPR within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ADN required for RN licensure in Kansas.
• Current RN license in Kansas (or compact state); BLS/CPR within 30 days.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be required per department/entity policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients under physician supervision.
• Mentor and train new staff and students.
• Perform acts within scope of practice per licensing board.
• Maintain comprehensive care plans within scope.
• Educate patient/family on care, medications, and self-care.
• Complete timely documentation per policy.
• Maintain effective communication with team and providers.
