Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the LDRP unit, full-time days, with a 0.9 FTE. The RN will deliver professional nursing care under physician direction and mentor staff.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, developing care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with policy. Minimum ADN with Kansas license; BLS/CPR required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required for RN licensure in Kansas or compact state.
• BSN preferred; ongoing professional development encouraged.
• Current BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients under physician direction.
• Mentors, develops and trains new staff and students.
• Performs acts within the scope of practice as defined by licensing board.
• Evaluates patient needs and maintains a comprehensive care plan.
• Educates patient and family on care plans, medications, and self-care.
