Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS seeks a Seasonal Labor and Delivery RN to provide professional nursing care under physician direction in a high-acuity obstetric unit. The role is full-time equivalent (FTE 0.9) with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include care delivery, mentoring staff, maintaining care plans, patient education, timely documentation, and strong teamwork. Requires ADN, KS license or compact state, BLS/CPR, and possible ACLS/PALS per policy.

Qualifications

• ADN required to practice in Kansas.
• Current RN licensure in Kansas or compact state.
• Current BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be required per department policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients under the direction of a physician.
• Mentors, develops and trains new staff and students.
• Perform acts within the scope of practice defined by licensing board.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications and self-care skills.
• Complete timely documentation per policy.
• Maintain effective communication with the care team.
• Adhere to PHI privacy and security regulations.
• Promote patient safety and quality of care.
