AtlantiCare invites applications for a Certified Surgical Technician - Center for Ortho - Per Diem Tier A. The role is part-time, day shift, and involves scrubbing for operations in the OR, preparing sterile fields, and assisting the surgical team under RN direction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited surgical technology program, continuing education, and NJ certification. BLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accredited surgical technology program.
• 15 hours of continuing education to remain NJ-certified.
• Certified Surgical Technologist or equivalent credentials preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team as scrub/instrument person during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile field and equipment using aseptic technique.
• Assist with patient positioning as directed by RN.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and OR is ready for surgery.
• Maintain confidentiality and support departmental objectives.
• Participate in performance improvement and professional growth.
