Job summary

AtlantiCare's Mainland Campus Operating Room is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician - Per Diem Tier B to support the surgical team under the RN. You will scrub, pass instruments, maintain counts, and assist with patient positioning during procedures, delivering care with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications include a high school degree or equivalent, and a nationally accredited surgical technologist credential.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Certified surgical technologist credential from NBSTSA or successor; or equivalent credentialing.
• Evidence of grandfathering if employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility on specific dates.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical team during operating procedures under RN supervision.
• Performs scrub/instrument duties, passing sponges, instruments and sutures.
• Maintains accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments; assists with patient positioning.
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism; participates in performance improvement.
