Job description

Lab Technician - Tissue Culture

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Gainesville, GA 30501

Duties:

• Temp to perm based on needs and worker’s performance.
• Assists in all areas of Marek's disease vaccine production, including but not limited to:
• Performing processes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Utilizing sterile technique at all times.
• Working under laminar flow hoods and HEPA-filtered environments.
• Communicating occurrences immediately to team leaders or supervisors.
• Maintaining a clean and sterile lab environment.
• Completing assigned monthly responsibilities accurately and timely.
• Receiving roller bottles in labs and holding areas.
• Assisting with candling and racking eggs in the incubation department.
• Maintaining accurate manufacturing records.
• Promoting safety and awareness in the lab.

Working Hours:

• Monday: 7 am – 5 pm
• Tuesday: 7 am – 4 pm
• Wednesday: 7 am – 2:30 pm
• Thursday: 7 am – 5 pm
• Friday: 7 am – 12:30 pm

Labs rotate starting at 6 am, with some overtime expected. Weekend work is also rotated once technicians are trained, typically from 6 or 7 am until 10 or 11 am on Saturday and Sunday, with prior Wednesday off for weekend technicians.
