UES, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support geotechnical, construction materials testing, and environmental projects in a controlled lab setting.

You will prepare samples, run tests on soil, concrete, and related materials, and help ensure data integrity and compliance with project specs. The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical coursework preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical lab work.
• Commitment to safety and following OSHA and lab protocols.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data collection software.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, manuals, and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates per ASTM/AASHTO standards.
• Document and report test results with detailed records.
• Prepare samples and handle storage to preserve integrity.
• Operate laboratory testing equipment and ensure proper PPE use.
• Maintain lab organization and compliance.
