Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Technical Coordinator to lead a high‑skilled laboratory section during night shifts. You will supervise daily workflows, apply advanced technical knowledge, and ensure compliance with CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, and OSHA standards.

The role emphasizes quality control, coordinating with supervisors and directors, and participating in system-wide quality assurance initiatives. A strong background in nonwaived testing and staff development is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with four years of lab training/experience or Bachelor’s with two years in nonwaived testing.
• Foreign educated candidates require credential evaluation (IERF or equivalent).
• For some specialties, a Bachelor’s with two years in the discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee high-level MLT/MLS duties and staff workflow alignment.
• Ensure quality control and QA procedures meet accrediting standards.
• Assist with cost analysis and department efficiency improvements.
• Provide coaching, orientation, and competency assessments for staff.
• Serve as liaison for on-site/system issues and cross-department coordination.
