Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Sun City, Arizona, is seeking a Technical Coordinator I/II for the Lab-Boswell team on the Evening shift. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge applied to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem-solving while ensuring compliance with CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP and OSHA.

Qualifications

Associate degree in a medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science or clinical laboratory science with four years of laboratory training or experience.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science with two years of laboratory training or experience.
Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF or recognized agency.
Some specialties require bachelor’s degree with two years of experience when no certification exists.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day workflow and staff on the evening shift, ensuring high competency in department testing.
Ensure quality control and QA procedures are followed; maintain compliance with accrediting standards.
Participate in accreditation readiness and implementation of system initiatives.
Lead small projects and supervise in the absence of the section supervisor.
